I found this wrapping paper at TJ Maxx a few months ago.
I instantly fell head over heals for it. I originally thought about lining my vanity draws with it, but knew I loved it too much to hide it a draw.
I bought this cute little dresser at an auction oh about 2 months ago.
I wanted to do something fun with it & so my wheels turned and I got this beaut!
When I started the sanding process is when my mind was made up, I just knew I had to gift wrap the draws. The dresser (you can see it in the original pictures) was a deep reddish color. When I sanded it down it was a nice red wood. I painted it saddle tan from Benjamin Moore, but of course a reddish tone was bleeding through. I normally change out the handles, but I liked these with this look so stuck with them.
I lightly sanded in a few spots, added a tad bit of ebony stain, wiped it down & then mixed dark brown & clear wax together and waxed it. It pick up the exact colors I needed/wanted. I am just still smitten with her :) and I hope you love her too.
Happy Friday! Here's to a wonderful weekend to all!

DeleteWow! I've been snatching up cool craft paper looking wrapping paper from Tj Maxx and Homegoods lately to line my dresser drawers. But THIS is amazing! Is it ModPodged? It's just so perfect! Doesn't look like any adhesive at all, but I know it has to be. Following you on FB by the way :)
