Church Pew makeover...

Oh hi there.... I am back with a makeover finally :)



I purchased this church pew last November (I believe...)  It was really in great condition and I got it for a steal.  I had originally purchased it for a specific spot as we were building the house...BUT....  Yes there is a but.  It just didn't work out the way I had thought when just the framing was really done...yeah I know...

So when we bought this beautiful table, brought it home...


.....Bright light bulb moment went off


Oh why not paint it the same color as the legs on the table, highly distress and wax to match the table?






I think it is a perfect match made in heaven!





It is comfortable...really comfortable :)

And, my next big project will be to redo chairs to match....these chairs have had it...

    hi Lynn, I love your pew makeover. I think having a bench or a pew at a table is a great way to maximise seating (the pew is even better than a bench as you can lean back!) it looks great with your table also. thanks so much for linking up to my Paint Parade

      Thank you Fiona. It was my idea to maximize the space since the table is so long. I knew it would be a good fit in my mind...just thankful it worked out as I envisioned :) Thank you for the new party place!!

    Hi Lynn,

    Your new (old) bench with the perfectly painted patina is SO charming! I would love to sit at that table, and would choose the bench as my seating of choice as it DOES look very comfy. I love the open layout of your pretty home!

      Thanks Poppy!! I was pleasantly surprised at how comfomy it was. I still am thinking of cushions but haven't found or made exactly what I want. Have a fantastic weekend!!
