It was black... I think it was spray painted, but it could have been lacquered sometime...like a lonnnnggggg time ago.
I wiped it down with deglosser before I started to paint it. Sorry I don't have a before picture. This was one of the many pictures that was on my phone that I didn't get off of it before it made it's jump into the snow to it's death :(
I painted it in a color from DecoArt Chalky Paint called Timeless. I really love this color because it truly is Timeless. I've used it on so many different pieces & it just goes with everything & I feel it is one of those colors that I will never grow tired of.
Aren't the legs beautiful?
I think so!!
Once the paint had dried completely, I used a stencil I cut out using my Silhouette and applied it to the top. I used Masion Blanche Wrought Iron!
I then wax it using the Lime Wax from Briwax...
I truly wish I had a before picture... It came out so beautiful! And, she is now sitting in my booth at Newburgh Vintage Emporium!!
Great table, Lynn! I love the shape of it. The image is great. Isn't that Wrought Iron a great black to use on furniture?
