I like chairs and how I made the change from 2 sofas to 1!!

Those of you that have followed along know we moved in to our home just under a year ago.  I did a home tour of our home & showed that our downstairs living area is an open concept.

When we moving in I had purchased 2 sofas from Raymour & Flanigan.  One was for our downstairs area & the other for our upstairs common area.  When the delivery guys showed up I was at the house working by myself.  They convinced me the sofa wouldn't fit up the stairs.  We all disagreed & said they just didn't want to carry it upstairs.  This became a true fact over Christmas since my husband & brother in law moved it up there.

My initial intent was to have one sofa with 2 nice comfy chairs downstairs.  I like sitting in a chair.

I love the above chair from One Kings Lane but it doesn't work for our family.

I have 2 little girls and my elderly father living with us.  So I can't have white or fabric like linen.  This would leave me with microfiber or leather basically.

You all know I love chairs...  And, I have an abundance of dining room chairs.

I have used this resource page at One Kings Lane often over the last couple of months in search of what will work functionally for us.

I struggled with the task to find what I thought would work.  I won't lie.  I just couldn't see the vision to find the chairs that I want at a reasonable price.  I knew in my mind what would work & what needed to work for us.

Love these chairs...

I love the style, but it won't work for us.  We need chairs that provide a place that anyone would feel comfortable sitting in.

I am leaning more towards this type of recliner -

What I ended up with is 2 nice comfy recliners that match our sofa.  We've had them for over a month now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

They are function-able, comfortable, and the girls love them!!!   I know they are not our forever chairs because one day the girls will be older & then I can focus on more "pretty" chairs!
