French Chairs makeover (painted fabric)

Oh hello there...

I know it has been a while since I have written a blog post.  I've been a busy girl & a little under the weather.  My father was sick & in the hospital for a couple of days, and then this girl got sick & ended up in the ER.  What I thought was a sinus infection turned into Acute Bronchitis.  It was not a fun Memorial Day weekend for me, but I survived.

I've been hitting up a few auctions here & there.  I have found lots of fun finds!!  One (or two...) was this set of wonderful chairs.

I was originally going to leave them just the way they are seen here.

But, then I as I was wiping them down a big red stain showed it's ugly face.

I tried to get it out....  The fabric then started to fade...

So, I decided to try my hand at painting fabric!!

I have been wanting to try painting fabric, but I hadn't found anything to try it on.  I will do a completely separate post on how I accomplished this :)

I took the cushion off... Did ya notice that?
I just loved how they looked without the cushion.  Plus I am a decent height & when I sat in them with the cushion my feet didn't even touch the floor.
Luckily they are more comfortable without the cushion anyhow!!
Want to see a side by side??

I really do love how they turned out!!  I even added a little bling to them..  Did you notice them?

I hope you enjoyed seeing this lovely transformation!!

  3. I love everything about these chairs! I want these chairs! LOL! I look forward to hearing more about how you painted the fabric. I have a wingback chair up in my garage that I painted and it is so stiff. Maybe you have some tips to make it feel softer.
    Blessings,
