A great friend of my husband's birthday is a couple of days after mine. Every year since he had the big 4-0 birthday we have been meeting up and floating the Delaware River.
The first year (3 years ago) we floated sans kids. The last 2 we've brought all the kiddos with us.
They are all old enough to enjoy it now. And, to understand where the bathroom is located :)
Every year has been a great time & this year did not disappoint.
Saturday we had birthday party festivities at my in-laws with more family/friends. I asked for a lobster/clam bake, and my husband really kicked it into high gear!
It was a celebration of an eating feast!!
We had steamed clams, raw oysters, lobster, salad, roasted potatoes along with great conversation, laughs and a fun time had by all. We were missing a few of our awesome friends, but summer birthdays can be hard to schedule.
The kids swam, ate junk food and played the day away. And, then returned for a little night swimming!!
My awesome little family!!!
Needless to say by Sunday I was exhausted and just really didn't want to do much. But, I had sold another piece of furniture and needed to run over to the booth to clean up and re-access what I need to bring in.
For dinner I made a lobster/clam pasta dish that was to die for! I simply can't rave enough about how amazing it tasted.
We usually never have leftover lobster or clams, but my husband went above & beyond on the amount of food he purchased.
Good for us the next day!!
I have been busy working on several different projects & I will write soon about them... But, I will give you a peek into what I've been working on lately.
I did this cute shutter into a chalkboard. More to come on this super duper simple diy project for less than $5.00
I am working on these cane back dining chairs for our dining room. There are 6 of them and they are in great shape. The cane on a few of them needs major repair so I am doing something completely different with them. However you will have to wait since festivities last week took me away from finishing them up.
And, I completed this cute chair that I recovered with beautiful fabric from OnlineFabricStore. I absolutely love that place & if you are in the market for fabric...I'd check the site out!
I was picking out some paint at Home Depot recently for a few more projects in the making and using this great fabric...
In other news
Newburgh Vintage Emporium, where my booth is located, made the Mid Hudson Times. Part of my booth was pictured in the write up... Exciting!

Much love, peace & happiness
